VEX Gunge (Coloured)

The most recognized brand in media effects, VEX Gunge has been used to create everything from slime FX to blood & gore to mud & food on stage, screen and events. It's thick and vivid texture creates amazing visuals and is also a favourite for classic slime/gunge (see images).

VEX Gunge is super quick and easy to mix by hand in just a matter of minutes, making it ideal for live events and television sets, all you need is warm water and a bucket.

It can also be mixed en masse for large events where an entire pool of it is required.

Visual Appeal:

VEX Gunge is super sticky and makes a great (and very messy) gunge/slime effect. An ideal fun gameshow product for your event or even to play with at home. Despite being extremely thick and sticky, VEX Gunge washes off fairly quickly and easily in the shower. The consistency and bold colour has made VEX Gunge the number one choice for content producers worldwide and it is used by the biggest producers and visual effects professionals in the media industry. It's texture makes it look stunning under studio lighting on stage and in the studios.

Events:

VEX Gunge is the perfect choice for live events due to its easy mixing and disposal. It can be mixed in minutes ready for use and can be disposed off by simply diluting with some water. It is also safe for disposal in public sewerage but we always advise checking local regulations to be sure.

Mixing:

Fill a bucket with 10 litres of warm water. Pour the powder into the water whilst briskly stirring. Make sure to get right to the bottom so that all the powder is moving. Mix for around 2-3 minutes or until the gunge/effects is at the desired thickness.

Mixing En Masse:

Fill a barrel with the desired amount of water (eg. 100 litres), then add each bag of powder to correspond with the amount of water.

(for 100 litres + 10x bags, for 80 litres + 8x bags, etc.)

Continue stirring as each bag is added.

(If mixing en masse, we recommend using an electric paint mixer).

Continue mixing for 5 minutes or until the gunge has reached the desired consistency.

Do not mix colours together in one container, to achieve multiple colour blends, mix individual coloured buckets and gently layer them in your prop/release mechanism. 

Clean Off:

If using on a person, we advise wiping as much off as possible before getting into the shower. Allow the water of the shower to dilute the gunge and use a sponge to wipe it off skin, hair & clothing.

Safety:

Vex Gunge is perfectly safe to use on all skin, hair and clothing types. It is hypoallergenic and does not contain any harmful ingredients. While it does not pose any health risks, we advise not directly spraying into eyes and consuming. VEX Gunge is safe to be fully submerged in and suitable for actors, performers & the public.

Surfaces can become very slippery once VEX gunge has been used so please ensure appropriate flooring/anti-slip matting is used, especially in public areas and on stage.

Always protect electrical equipment, plug sockets and soft furnishings.

Environment:

VEX gunge is naturally biodegradable, environmentally friendly an suitable for vegans. No animal testing is permitted on any of our products.

Disposal: 

Simply dilute with plenty of water and once the gunge has thinned it can be safely poured down the drain/sink. Keep the water running as you do so and keep agitating the slime to break it up. It will also naturally dilute back down to water in 3-4 weeks if left making it also suitable for using outdoors. It can be left to soak into the ground without causing any harm to wildlife or the environment. Please be aware that colour may temporarily stain grass if left to soak away.
